Following on from our previous blog, we now bring you our Top 5 Ladies Motorcycle Jackets Under £300! Ladies motorcycle gear has come a long way in recent years in terms of colour and fit, and nowadays most manufacturers thankfully provide much more variation than just plain black or pink kit. Read on to find out what we recommend for the budget concious lady rider:

Dainese Arya D-Dry - £259.99 (now on sale for £169.99!)
The most versatile of our top 5 jackets, a truly 4 season jacket – having removable thermal AND waterproof layer means you can remove all those layers in the hot weather which eliminates a membrane stopping sweat escaping. This also allows for extra airflow to reach your body with direct to body vents. While D-Dry is one of the most breathable membranes around, in those extra hot conditions, no membrane is still better than the most breathable membrane in the world. In colder climates you can leave all layers in that provide waterproof and windproof barrier as well as insulation. And when we say versatile – we mean it! Hot but wet weather? No problem, remove the thermal layer and leave waterproof one in. The outer material of the jacket is made out of Dainese Mugello fabric which is highly wear and tear resistant and very comfortable to wear due the stretch properties. Jacket comes with CE certified level 1 armour and shoulders and elbows and has a pocket for an optional back protector.

Dainese Tempest 2 - £269.95
Dainese’s best-selling D-Dry touring jacket just got better! This jacket is part of the brand new ‘Explorer’ range and as with all the jackets in this range the explorer also features a ‘Destination layer’ – a thermal layer which can be worn as a separate jacket while off the bike. The Tempest 2 jacket also features an improved 20.000mm D-Dry membrane which keeps you dry in when the weather turns. Further improvements include Cordura fabric on the outer material (a less abrasion resistant Duratex material featured in the original Tempest jacket) as well as Dainese’s own D-stone fabric on high impact areas. To complete the outfit, Dainese also offer Tempest 2 trousers, gloves and boots.

Alpinestars Stella Gunner - £199.99
Don’t you get sick of manufactures making ladies clothing in either plain black or bright pink colours? There has always been a divide between women asking for more ladies motorcycle clothing to come in colours such as pink and those who hate the manufacturer’s assumption that all women want to wear “girly” colours. That’s why we have the Alpinestars Stella Gunner jacket in a beautiful black and blue colour. It features a multi-fabric shell construction and abrasion resistant material inserts and also comes with level 1 armour at shoulders and elbows and a pocket for optional back protector. This Stella Gunner jacket gives that sporty look with a comfort of a textile jacket.

Dainese Streamline - £249.99 (now £189.99!)
Another sporty jacket for our lady riders. As the name suggests it is a more streamline/fitted jacket for sports (sports-touring) riding, being a shorter length compared to touring jackets it is more comfortable on those types of bikes. However, no matter what style of motorcycle you ride, this jacket looks the part and performs well! It features Polyurethane rigid shoulders covered with D-Synth 350 fabric which not only provide you with and extra protection, but also creates a more aggressive look. Dainese Streamline jacket also features waterproof and breathable D-Dry membrane which means you can have an aggressive looking sports jacket with all the advantages of a textile jacket.

RST GT ladies Textile - £169.99 & GT Ladies Leather - £249.99
After many years of the RST Blade range being around it was time for an update. RST GT range is a more subtle textile and leather range from RST for those who don’t want heavy branding on their motorcycle clothing. The GT range comes in sizes 8-20 and features great adjustment on areas that most manufactures lack. For example RST GT leather jacket has two adjustment zips on the hips as well as plenty of accordion leather panels to allow for different shapes and sizes. Being a British manufacturer the sizing is also more generous than Italian brands such as Alpinestars and Dainese. Both textile and leather jackets come with CE level 2 back protector as standard. The GT textile jacket is made out of HTC fabric and Ballistic and is reinforced with Maxtex for added support. The material is super soft and comfortable to wear. The leather version is made out of full grain cowhide leather and is very soft to touch, you have to try it on to really understand what great piece of kit it is. RST has done an amazing job at creating this good value for money product.
